Chilli Red Sauce Pasta: A Chilli Recipe

Ever since I moved to hostel, cooking which was my worst nightmare has now become my daily reality! After all the classes, you back to your room tired but still have to cook your own dinner! Phew! The other day I stumbled upon Delmonte Gourmet Pasta and thought of giving it a try. Ever since I bought it, I have cooked a lot of different pasta recipes including salads. But today I am presenting to you my favourite amongst all - Chilli Red Sauce Pasta recipe - I like chilli food a lot and thus, this my most fav recipe. Servings: 2-3 people
Preparation time: 7 minutes
Cooking time: 15-20 minutes
Equipment needed: Strainer, Pan, Spatula

Oil: 2 tablespoon
Onion: 2 small
Tomato: 4 small
Capsicum: 1 small
Garlic Cloves: 2-4 (finely chopped)
Ajwain/ Carom seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
Tomato Sauce: to taste
Green Chilli Sauce: to taste
Red Chilli Sauce: to taste
Salt: To taste

1. Add 4-5 cups of water, one teaspoon oil and half teaspoon salt to a pan and keep it on stove. Wait for the water to boil and then add 2 cups of Delmonte Pasta Gourmet Pasta Spirali in it.

2. After it has boiled once, keep it on simmer for 5 minutes more.

3. Then drain out the water using a strainer. Afterwards, wash it with cold water.

 4. Take 4 small tomatoes. Cut them in half. Add 1/4 cup water to it.

5. Using a hand blender, make a tomato puree.

 6. Take another pan. Add oil to it and put on high stove. Add ajwain/carom seeds to it.

7. Add onions to the pan and saute them for some time till the color changes slightly. Then add finely chopped garlic cloves to the pan.

8. Add finely chopped capsicum to the pan.

9. Saute on sim for 5 minutes.

10. Add tomato puree to this pan. 

11. Stir for 1-2 minutes.

12. Add tomato sauce, red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce to this mixture. Add salt and red chilli to this and stir properly.

13. Add the cooled pasta to this mixture. Mix properly. Let it cook for sometime on simmer for 2-5 minutes.

14. Take it off the stove and serve hot.
