Art Of Living..... AOL... what the hell....
Hmmmm... lets c.. well i was thinking to write about this from a long time ago... around the month of march-april.. but have got time just now for this ... Well first of all i did a hell lot of research( i love orkut :P) on AOL to come up with the facts on which i wanna write....
i compare things rationally... their are two aspects of everything... pros and cons...
pros may b many but cons of AOL are so deadly that they have spoiled many young and bright youngsters of india...18-20 is definitely ot the age for bhajan kirtans...and all that stuff.. ur parents have not put thr hard earnd money to send u to college frm whr u can learn to attain moksha ....
I hate Art of living coz for me living is not an art,its a constant discovery of ourselves.I read a book called Monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin sharma........an extraordinary piece of work.Theres nuthing xtra ordinary abut Art of living stuff coz if we spend the same amount of time, we spend on those activities, with ourselves we ll be able to make our life much much better than what this so called arts wanna teach us
.Thing is that we constatly underestimate our self,we think that we can't do anything without the help of gurus.....Self Discovery is the best method to learn.No one can tell u how u must live ur life coz his interpretation and ur interpretation towards are bound to be different.I have met so may people who were once the ardent follower of this but now they themselves hate it coz they didn't find any transition in themselves via this course.
Reasons may b varied but the point is that it has proved to be ineffictive in the long run.We are so worried about our life that we ultimately forget living and enjoying it.Life is the way u see it.Sprituality cannot be learned,cannot be mugged up it is something that we have to search and irony is we keep searching it outside,in world of mortals via these arts and forget to search it within ourselves,in our immortal soul.

I have done the course still i oppose it...Now what do u have to say?Go do the course again right?
Give me a break dudes!!!!First you say that go and do the course and when we say it is bad even after doing it u say u dint do it properly...Forget it man.What you call a feeling of calm and focused i call it a false sense of happiness. It is the happiness that one gets even when he has problems. Instead of facing them he accepts them as a part of their life. AOL doesnt teach you to fight with the problems. As young people we need to fight with our problems. Face them with courage and conquer them!Not run away from them.

When you run a multi-million dollar empire like AOL, you have got to take care of Public Relations(PR). So don't give us any logic regarding the benevolence of His Holiness. I suppose no one ever called Mother Teresa by that name. She never did anything that would make her popular. She was not close to being as good a manager as Ravi Shankar, so she wasn't able to popularise her efforts. Going to a calamity-affected area and lending help is something even ministers and film stars do. Besides, it's also good for the brand name. Haven't you seen film stars go and kiss cancer patients and give out money.It is a good deed no doubt, and I am happy that at least some people's hard-earned money goes for a good cause.But, honestly all of you AOL people, that is not what you joined art of living for. You did it because somewhere in your mind you were distressed and needed help. You thought this place would teach you how to live. LEARN TO LIVE? Realy, if the time has come when someone else has to tell you how to live, you are in a pretty bad state. So this is how AOL gets all the fame and fortne - exploiting people's everyday failures and weaknesses. They just try and make themselves more agreeable with all the charity.
Coming back to Mother Teresa, she was once given a car for her efforts by the pope. She sold it in an auction to raise money for her work. She never had any philosophy or ideology. You need these things when you have to win over people. She couldn't care less. Her work was her prize, her fame and her life. THAT WAS HER ART OF LIVING. Live like that guys.Just try that On Sri sri.. n you will get to know how much he charges even to wave standing on the stage....
The madam of art of living meets with every one ,shake hand and hold tightly every one in her arms. Art of living guys say that it is right,if it is right then,after your marriage tell ur wife to meet and hug with every person going outside your home.
Is the art of living the only way to live? All these people all over the world are not living life to the fullest they can? Do you need some guy to tell you how to live? I know how to live. I love those people who are important in my life, and I instinctively dislike people whom I dislike. It's unnatural to not hate a person who measures up as 'bad' in one's conscience.Better it should be named ART of LOSERS

Well I would like to say that it does not prove anything by just copying and pasting the comments from the orkut community,We hate AOL.AS you say that if u want to be happy then u don't need any Guru or someone..right.Ya its true but tell me 1 thing how many ppl are that strong to do it.Sri Sri has transformed lives of millions.Tell me 1 thing how many lives have u transformed.I'll tell u 1 example frm my own family.My aunt died this yr in Jan.She had 2 kids...girl is 15 and boy is 9.It was really hard time for them.The pain was so much that they lost all their innocence and every time u see their faces the pain of losing the mother was always there.Everybody in the family was very concerned with them and really tried to cheer them up as it was affecting their studies.My uncle after losing the wife went into a state of depression and just imagine how hard it was for a 15 yr old to handle.Neways...they came to Mumbai for a week for GrihaPravesh Puja of my brother's flat.I convinced them to do the Art Excel Course especially meant for kids(8-15 age gp.).They did the course and thoroughly enjoyed it.They felt rejuvinated after the course.Later i recieved the Rakhi from her with a letter which says.....The AOL course that we did in Mumbai has really helped me a lot.Now I have grown bolder in my classroom.I am doing KRIYA everyday."Jab main kabhi bahut pareshan ho jaati hoon,toh Guruji ka naam le leti hoon toh bahut achha lagta hai aur sari problem door ho jaati hai".The same girl who was once in deep pain and full of emotional stress has come out of it SMILING and BY FACING THE PROBLEM not by excaping frm it.One more life has been transformed.Regarding the money that the course costs...I wud like to say that first make ur concepts clear that where does this money go.AOL is the biggest NGO of the world and in over 25000 villages AOL SEVA-PROJECTS are currently working....I have some stuff which will make u clear regarding AOL and Sri Sri...gimme me a chance to prove it...and I am sorry to say that it is worst thing in ur life that u can do by stopping someone frm doing good...stop doing it and do tell me if u want ur concepts (regarding AOL) make clear.I'll give those stuff to read.It will hardly take an hour or so to complete it.SO TELL ME..do u really want to come out of ur mindset of AOL and see the reality or u continue living in that...bubyeee and JAI GURUDEV!!!!!!!

hmmm.....gud piece of writing.....i too dont agree with the things "AOL" ppl say or talk abt.....
well a gud comparison between Mother Teresa n AOL...
but r u sure writings posts like this can help ppl .....or it will b counted as jus another post....or smthing that harms a public orgainzation which might object on this post of urs.....
of course its a personal space....still its a public place where u can nt blame anything straight way...instead u need to present some meat to support ur own belief.

Hey i Am a person who has done the course myself....
i wud really tell u that the fact given are correct pepole wash dishes the cut the nails of Guru jee....they even wash their undergarments...
ohh my.save the world...then even if sudarshan kriya is a gud work but u cant sell it...1st of its in our vedas how can u sell it Mr Gurujee....
the teach u to accept any troubles u have in ur lie try to njoy it...
rather than working for it to find an remidie ...what the helll....

Now my independent opinion..AOL is a damn business organization.who is looting ppl by harnessing from human eakness..most ppl r weak so dey take da placebo as dey r born to take and believe religion and anything spiritual..knowing or unknowing
and dose who r mentally strong call outright rejecters are being called by AOL ppl faithless and non practishner:)
Wake up india..dese ppl r making fool of ya..try and believe urself..for a living u don need art.

To bhaskar..bro..i m deeply sorry for da loss..par i tell ya one thing ur cousin needed an emotional support and at dat condition anything dat promises to give supoort..dey cling on it..itz nothing spiritual..itz all placebo..and believe me if u had stayed 2 hour 7 days wid her..jus giving attention to da kid.she wud hav been happier den too...isme nayi baat nahi..we call it funeral crash phenomena..imbalancement due to a death causing emotional atachhments to whoever comes fst to give attention.
In da end.. AOl sux..and ppl open ur eyes..dis ppl are looteray..and trust urself.And tell ur pope his holiness or watever to come to ppl rather dan advertising via PR and talking on TVs
A course (not specific to AOL but in anything in general) gives you an experience. You may like the experience or maynot like the experience. Just because you don't like the experience of something doesnt mean that entire system is worth condescending upon and calling names at people who felt better experencing it.
It is like a high school drop out saying that the education system sucks and all who are in college are losers. Well, in that case you being a college grad may know who the real loser could be.

First of all i dont like such crap like "jai gurudev" on my blog... and what u said about the kids.. u could have better spent time with them urself then pushing them into AOL stuff...it would have helped then a lot..and "gurujee ka naam lene se problem door ho jati hai " is not facing the problem but evading it...

if u read correctly i said there are both pros n cons of this course... but cons are much more dangerous than the benifits of AOL...
Bhaskar man i am really sorry for the loss you have written about.
But tell me man couldnt you yourself have changed the lil girls life? YES u cud have.
First thing is that you did not take the responsibility to make the girl come out of her deppression.
Second- she takes the name of guruji and feels better? Man this hurt me the most!! She cant take the name of her loved mother and feel better? She has to take the name of GURUJI?
I just shudder at the thought that she may forget the beautiful memories that she spent with her mother because this false happiness that AOL gives people.
It should have been a natural heeling process with her.. with lots of support from her relatives. Not some AOL course!!

The kind of attitude u have while doing d course makes a lot of difference......y do u think all children being taught by d same teacher don't get the same marks? ...if u don't want to learn, even the best of teachers can't help u.....n if u r a seeker then there is a lot 2 learn from every moment of ur life :) ...n Art Of Living is no doubt an organization where u will learn a lot but only if u r ready for it...d deeper u dive, the more u'll get out of it.........Aol is like an ocean, some just watch the ocean frm far n comment on it, some dip their feet n judge acc to their experience, some swim a lil n come out.....n some dive deep inside n get pearls out of it :)....no offense to those who r anti-aol but ive done the basic, advance n Dsn as well n i also volunteer for aol.. n the more courses i do n d more i volunteer , the deeper is d introspection n i can feel myself grow n understand the depth of life :)...
Dude... I hav done an AOL course myself...i wouldn't hav done it again if it was so called bad...You say all these information hav come from orkut well then u dont even know frm wat r u takin info frm... u dont evn know hu those ppl r frm where u r gettin this info... they r unkown and they might b some organization hu r against aol bcoz of jealosy....! GROW UP
h guys..............those who likie aol or hate it is your choice after all...but what i felt reading views of those who hate it are actually landing up saying what is taught in AOL.....well its personal opinion....so I wont tell anything much...but only "I BELONG TO YOU ALL" :) :)
